End of week 2 of my “Experiment With New Age Hokum”.
I’ve eaten whatever I felt like, whenever I felt like it, and in whatever quantity I liked. Actually, that’s not strictly true. I was kinda hungry on the plane back from Savannah last week, but was flying coach class where they offered no food. So on that occasion, I didn’t get to eat what I wanted. So maybe it’s more accurate to say that the only constraints placed on my eating have been external constraints. Wherever it’s been just me, the food, and choice, I’ve done whatever I wanted. For example, last night GBW and I had:
- Leftover linguine with asparagus, salmon and cream sauce
- Beef short ribs, braised in marmalade, chicken stock and Guiness; with potatoes gratin dauphinois, and asparagus tossed in butter (all of which I made from scratch, by the way)
- Some white chocolate for afters
Same with exercise. I’ve done as much, or as little (or none) as I liked.
Results for this week: I’ve lost another 4.4lbs bringing the total for the first two weeks to 7.8lbs.
