belenday asked:
I am having a hard time getting back to fat burning mode even though I have stayed at 25 carbs per day and workout 2 hours per day, 5 times per week. I was wondering if there is something that can help kick back into fat burning mode so I can go back to 40 carbs per day or more and still loose weight.

Eat fresh green salads (sometimes chef salads use turkey instead of ham), frest fruit, and take brisk walks in the evening and early morning hours (if possible) and more importantly cut back on your grease foods aka fast foods. Drink alot of water and herbal teas.

I know Atkins is supposed to be dangerous but the fat fast to kick start your weight loss again really does work. (They took it out of the later books necause its not good for you so its something that you cant do for too long)
Have 5 high fat ‘meals’ a day.
Things like
Tablespoon of peanut butter
table spoon of high fat soft cheese
fatty ham filled with cream cheese
heavy cream
No fruit or veg at all!! Do this for 3 days if you can. It should start up your weight loss again.
Drink loads and loads of water

That doesn’t sound healthy. You should really talk to a specialist dietician.

My favorite diet and the only one that works for me is:
20 grams of fat a day and at least 17 grams or you’ll eventually die.
Eat and drink all you want every day but nothing with much fat. Read the labels and you will soon find the foods that are abundant without fat.
The trick to this diet is to eat all day and never over eat. Exercise will help boot your system into a high metabolism.
At first you may gain a few pounds from eating so much because most people that diet go into a low metablism where fat is stored.
Your body understands two things, feast or famine. When you diet and restrict calories to say 1200 calories daily, your body assumes there is a famine and will store anything over that 1200 calories.
With the all you can eat fat free diet, you eat so much that your body assumes food is abundant and goes into feast mode. This is high metabolism. It does take about a month for your brain to figure this out, so like I said, you may gain a few pounds first, but if you stick to the lack of fat, you will begin to lose two or three pounds a week.
Once you start to lose weight you can splurge on weekends with your old favorite fat foods. Like pizza or burgers or whatever high fat foods you eat now.
There is nothing better than eating all day and losing weight at the same time.
Remember, read labels and find foods with low or no fat grams. That’s all you have to do.

you need to change something about your workout…you may have reached a stagnant workout routine…try putting your treadmill on the highest incline and still work out the same pace you were at…or add heavier weights….you just need to spice up your routine a little….good luck and you can splurge on somedays…25 carbs a day come on….you must be starving!!!

I was eating 15 grams of carb per day until I started getting dizzy. A pharmacist friend told me I was on dangerous ground. Carbs are brain food. I stepped up the carbs, and still lost weight.

Hit the GYM…cardio burns that fat…weight lifting boosts your metaboism…so do that too.
And watch what you eat! Eat your fruits and veggies!
