Lets say that I burn 2500 calories a day through activities and I eat only 2000 calories a day, shouldn’t I be burning 500 calories of fat a day, no matter if I work out in the fat burning zone or the cardio zone?

Recently I have been reading that it’s all about calories in vs. calories out. And that being said.. the “fat burning zone” is kinda outdated. You may burn more fat but it is a very minimal amount. About .2 grams versus working out in the cardio zone. The cardio zone however burns more calories which is what you ultimately want. As long as you are burning more calories than what you eat you will lose weight. It really is that simple. The hard part is sticking with it.
good luck!
